V Evrop\u011b Jochen Hasenmayer a Olivier Isler vytvo\u0159ili ka\u017ed\u00fd svou koncepci polozav\u0159en\u00e9ho okruhu \u2013 SCR. Bill studuje ve\u0161ker\u00e9 dostupn\u00e9 informace. Sv\u016fj program naz\u00fdv\u00e1 Cis Lunar \u2013 p\u0159ibli\u017euje se sv\u00fdm kosmick\u00fdm hrdin\u016fm z ml\u00e1d\u00ed. Vzhledem ke sv\u00e9mu technick\u00e9mu vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed s titulem in\u017een\u00fdr je mu konstruk\u010dn\u00ed \u010dinnost bl\u00edzk\u00e1. Od roku 1984 do roku 1987 vyv\u00edj\u00ed prvn\u00ed model elektronicky \u0159\u00edzen\u00e9ho p\u0159\u00edstroje s uzav\u0159en\u00fdm okruhem <strong>eCCR CisLunar Mk I.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tento prvn\u00ed rebreather v\u00e1\u017eil 90-100kg, pracovn\u011b se naz\u00fdval FRED \u2013 Failsafe Rebreather for Exploration Diving (Bezporuchov\u00fd Rebreather pro Pot\u00e1p\u011b\u010dsk\u00fd Pr\u016fzkum). K vod\u011b jej vezli na dvoukol\u00e1ku a tvrdili, \u017ee je velk\u00fd jako VW Brouk. 4.12.1987 str\u00e1vil Bill Stone s t\u00edmto p\u0159\u00edstrojem ve Wakulla Springs v hloubce 10m cel\u00fdch 24 hodin b\u011bhem velmi \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e9 expedice Wakulla Project. Bill byl vedouc\u00edm tohoto projektu. P\u0159\u00edstroj byl konstruov\u00e1n pro autonomii 48 hodin, \u0159\u00eddily jej 4 po\u010d\u00edta\u010de, byl du\u00e1ln\u00ed \u2013 zdvojen\u00fd. Jeho pohlcova\u010de CO2 byly na b\u00e1zi hydroxidu lithn\u00e9ho. Tento sorbent je velmi \u00fa\u010dinn\u00fd, nicm\u00e9n\u011b p\u0159i kontaktu s vodou toxick\u00fd, proto patrony pohlcova\u010de byly kryty speci\u00e1ln\u00ed vodot\u011bsnou, ale plynopropustnou membr\u00e1nou.<\/p>\n<p>Bill za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 p\u0159\u00edstroj zmen\u0161ovat \u2013 v roce 1989 je na sv\u011bt\u011b verze <strong>Mk-II<\/strong> s 6ti po\u010d\u00edta\u010di a nav\u00edc s tzv. HUD Head Up Displayem \u2013 kontrolkou v zorn\u00e9m poli pot\u00e1p\u011b\u010de. D\u00e1le se objevuje nov\u00fd typ n\u00e1\u00fastku s mo\u017enost\u00ed p\u0159epnut\u00ed na otev\u0159en\u00fd okruh (OC- BOV Open circuit Bailout Valve). Hmotnost ji\u017e \u010dinila 50kg a autonomie 12 hodin. V roce 1991 je hotova verze <strong>Mk III.<\/strong> \u2013 zde nov\u00fd tvar pohlcova\u010de CO2 a d\u00e1le ADV \u2013 Automatic Diluent Valve \u2013 automaticky podtlakov\u011b \u0159\u00edzen\u00e1 dod\u00e1vka diluentu do okruhu. V roce 1994 je hotov\u00e1 verze <strong>Mk IV.<\/strong> In\u017een\u00fdr Nigel Jones zmen\u0161il velikost po\u010d\u00edta\u010d\u016f, nav\u00edc s mo\u017enost\u00ed v\u00fdpo\u010dtu dekomprese a zm\u011bny set pointu kysl\u00edku v re\u00e1ln\u00e9m \u010dase. Tato verze byla zdvojen\u00e1 \u010di jednoduch\u00e1 a m\u011bla nov\u00fd typ n\u00e1\u00fastku.Tento rebreather byl s \u00fasp\u011bchem pou\u017eit p\u0159i expedici do Sanagust\u00ednsk\u00e9ho sifonu v roce 1994.<\/p>\n<p>Kone\u010dn\u011b Bill splnil sv\u016fj c\u00edl\u00a0\u2013 m\u011bl funk\u010dn\u00ed rebreather, kter\u00fd splnil n\u00e1roky na n\u011bj kladen\u00e9 v extr\u00e9mn\u00edch podm\u00ednk\u00e1ch hlubok\u00fdch jeskynn\u00edch syst\u00e9m\u016f.<\/p>\n<p>V dal\u0161\u00edm pokra\u010dov\u00e1n\u00ed projektu Cis Lunar za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 v roce 1998 verze <strong>Mk V.<\/strong> slavit jak explora\u010dn\u00ed, tak i komer\u010dn\u00ed \u00fasp\u011bch. V r\u016fzn\u00fdch variac\u00edch verze V bylo vyrobeno cca 100 ks. Existovala i ve verzi du\u00e1ln\u00ed. Mk V. umo\u017e\u0148ovala v\u00fdm\u011bnu patrony pohlcova\u010de pod vodou, mo\u017enost p\u0159ipojen\u00ed off boardov\u00fdch lahv\u00ed p\u0159es blbuvzdorn\u00fd gas blok, nov\u00fd dekompresn\u00ed software atd. Svou koncepc\u00ed nast\u00ednil Bill zcela novou cestu v\u00fdvoje elektronicky \u0159\u00edzen\u00fdch eCCR rebreather\u016f &#8211; p\u0159\u00edstroj\u016f s uzav\u0159en\u00fdm okruhem.<\/p>\n<p>V roce 1995 za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 Bill Stone a US Deep Caving Team pomalu p\u0159ipravovat dal\u0161\u00ed v\u00fdznamn\u00fd projekt \u2013 Wakulla 2. Bill vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed speci\u00e1ln\u00ed mapovac\u00ed skener, kter\u00fd namontoval dop\u0159edu na DPV sk\u016ftr. Tento <strong>Digital Wall Mapper<\/strong> se uk\u00e1zal jako velmi efektivn\u00ed pro 3D zobrazen\u00ed a zmapov\u00e1n\u00ed chodeb. N\u011bco podobn\u00e9ho dosud na sv\u011bt\u011b neexistovalo. Kdy\u017e za\u010dal sv\u016fj n\u00e1pad realizovat, nadchl sv\u00fdm charisma a n\u00e1padem jist\u00e9ho Jima Kinga \u2013 obchodn\u00edka a jesky\u0148\u00e1\u0159e, kter\u00fd mu do po\u010d\u00e1tku v\u011bnoval zcela nezi\u0161tn\u011b velkou finan\u010dn\u00ed injekci. D\u00edky tomuto mohl Bill cel\u00fd projekt odstartovat.<\/p>\n<p>B\u011bhem vlastn\u00edho projektu Wakulla 2 v letech 1998-1999 nasb\u00edral Digital Wall Mapper celkem 10 000 000 dat a pomohl vytvo\u0159it velmi p\u0159esn\u00e9 mapy Wakulla Springs v 3D projekci v d\u00e9lce chodeb 23km. Kdo n\u011bkdy mapoval, ten si dovede p\u0159edstavit, jakou pr\u00e1ci a kolik \u010dlov\u011bkohodin p\u0159\u00edstroj nahradil, nav\u00edc nyn\u00ed byl schopen posunout mapu z verze p\u016fdorysu s \u0159ezy na 3D zobrazen\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Pro pohyb pot\u00e1p\u011b\u010d\u016f vyladil Bill model DPV sk\u016ftru s n\u00e1zvem Fat Man. Sk\u016ftr byl pou\u017eiteln\u00fd do hloubky 150m, m\u011bl nov\u00fd model NiMh akumul\u00e1tor\u016f a novou konstrukci motoru, co\u017e mu umo\u017e\u0148ovalo dobu pou\u017eit\u00ed 6,5 hodiny a rychlost p\u0159es 4km\/hod.<\/p>\n<p>Dal\u0161\u00ed Bill\u016fv n\u00e1pad byl zm\u011bnit jedoduch\u00fd habitat, \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b pou\u017eit\u00fd v roce 1987 p\u0159i prvn\u00edm projektu, na pln\u011b uzav\u00edratelnou p\u0159etlakovou kapsli. Po vyta\u017een\u00ed a napojen\u00ed na suchou dekompresn\u00ed komoru, se dekomprese provedla v komfortn\u00ed kabin\u011b. Je to identick\u00fd model Subcom\/Decom, jako je zn\u00e1m\u00fd v profesion\u00e1ln\u00edm sv\u011bt\u011b satura\u010dn\u00edho pracovn\u00edho pot\u00e1p\u011bn\u00ed. Bill vytvo\u0159il konstrukci jednoduch\u00e9ho pneumatick\u00e9ho zdvihu kapsle z vody ven.<\/p>\n<p>Projekt Wakulla 2 byl po v\u0161ech str\u00e1nk\u00e1ch \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00fd a to tak\u00e9 d\u00edky nad\u010dasov\u00fdm n\u00e1pad\u016fm Billa Stonea, kter\u00e9 dovedl do funk\u010dn\u00ed a technick\u00e9 reality a nez\u016fstal pouze p\u0159i vizi.<\/p>\n<p>Cis Lunar Mk V sehr\u00e1l v \u00fasp\u011bchu cel\u00e9ho projektu kl\u00ed\u010dovou roli, bylo provedeno celkem 234 sestup\u016f, z toho 32 do hloubky 90-100m s \u010dasem na dn\u011b okolo 4,5 hodiny.<\/p>\n<p>Po tomto projektu se verze Mk V \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b pou\u017e\u00edvala p\u0159i hlubok\u00fdch sestupech v mo\u0159i s c\u00edlem ichtyologick\u00fdch sledov\u00e1n\u00ed \u2013 hlavn\u011b na Havaji, d\u00e1le v ledov\u00fdch mo\u0159\u00edch Antarktidy, v dal\u0161\u00edm pr\u016fzkumu floridsk\u00fdch a mexick\u00fdch jeskyn\u00ed atd.<\/p>\n<p>Bohu\u017eel cena komer\u010dn\u00edch Cis Lunar\u016f odpov\u00eddala kvalit\u011b pou\u017eit\u00fdch materi\u00e1l\u016f a cel\u00fd projekt dojel na vysok\u00e9 v\u00fdrobn\u00ed n\u00e1klady. Sv\u011bt \u0161el cestou levn\u011bj\u0161\u00edch a jednodu\u0161\u0161\u00edch model\u016f.<\/p>\n<p>V roce 2009 Bill vytvo\u0159il zat\u00edm svou posledn\u00ed verzi CCR \u2013 spole\u010dn\u011b s firmou Poseidon zjednodu\u0161en\u00fd model <strong>Cis Lunar Mk VI Discovery<\/strong>, kter\u00fd s \u00fasp\u011bchem pou\u017e\u00edval p\u0159i expedic\u00edch v jeskyn\u00edch Cheve a J2.<\/p>\n<p>Sv\u00e9 zku\u0161enosti s mapov\u00e1n\u00edm v 3D Bill d\u00e1le dot\u00e1hl v projektu autonomn\u00edho podvodn\u00edho robota, vytvo\u0159en\u00e9ho firmou Stone Aerospace v r\u00e1mci projektu <strong>NASA DEPTHX<\/strong>. Robot jako prvn\u00ed zmapoval Sistema Zacaton. M\u00edsto bylo vybr\u00e1no tak\u00e9 s ohledem na \u00famrt\u00ed Shecka Exleye, kter\u00e9ho Bill Stone uzn\u00e1val nade v\u0161echny.<\/p>\n<p>Dne 16. 5. 2007 robot DEPTHX dos\u00e1hl dna v hloubce 335m a n\u00e1sledn\u011b p\u0159i odebr\u00e1n\u00ed vzork\u016f vody objevil 6 nov\u00fdch druh\u016f bakteri\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>V roce 2009 Bill vedl expedici ENDURANCE (Environmentally Non-Disturbing Under-ice Robotic ANtarctiC Explorer) k pr\u016fzkumu jezera Lake Bonney pod ledovcem v Antarktid\u011b.<\/p>\n<p>Od roku 2010 se Bill st\u00e1v\u00e1 vedouc\u00edm projektu NASA-VALKYRIE \u2013 v tomto projektu jde o vytvo\u0159en\u00ed cryobota pro transport AUV \u2013 autonomn\u00edho podvodn\u00edho robota k pr\u016fzkumu zaplaven\u00fdch prostor pod ledovci na jin\u00fdch planet\u00e1ch. Nyn\u00ed bude robot testov\u00e1n v oblasti Ji\u017en\u00edho p\u00f3lu, kde bude p\u0159ekon\u00e1vat tlou\u0161\u0165ku ledov\u00e9 vrstvy 3km s mo\u017enost\u00ed vlastn\u00edho nav\u00e1d\u011bn\u00ed kolem mo\u017en\u00fdch tvrd\u00fdch hornin v ledovci, posl\u00e9ze odebere vzorky ze dna a vr\u00e1t\u00ed se zp\u011bt na povrch.<\/p>\n<p>Bill Stone je dr\u017eitelem mnoha technick\u00fdch patent\u016f, autor cca 140 technick\u00fdch publikac\u00ed, m\u00e1 za sebou v\u00edce ne\u017e 30let profesion\u00e1ln\u00edho v\u00fdzkumu a technick\u00e9 realizace, tak\u00e9 v oblasti 3D projekce, v\u010detn\u011b 3D laserov\u00fdch radar\u016f a sonar\u016f, automatick\u00fdch robot\u016f. Jeho \u010dinnost zahrnuje tak\u00e9 technick\u00e9 realizace pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00e9 na orbit\u00e1ln\u00edch stanic\u00edch. Je autorem vice ne\u017e 100 report\u00e1\u017e\u00ed a 2 knih &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Wakulla Springs Project (1989)<\/span>, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Time &#8211; Warner book Beyond the Deep (2002)<\/span> &#8211; Na dno sv\u011bta; a nyn\u00ed je hlavn\u00ed postavou nov\u011b vyd\u00e1van\u00e9 knihy Jamese Tabora <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Blind Descent (2010)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>V sou\u010dasn\u00e9 dob\u011b neexistuje na sv\u011bt\u011b \u010dlov\u011bk, kter\u00fd by mohl b\u00fdt srovn\u00e1v\u00e1n s touto \u017eivou legendou a d\u00edky obrovsk\u00e9mu organiza\u010dn\u00edmu \u00fasil\u00ed Peti Kubi\u010dky jsme m\u011bli to \u0161t\u011bst\u00ed jej osobn\u011b poznat b\u011bhem Techmeetingu v Bratislav\u011b. Jeho skromn\u00e9 vystupov\u00e1n\u00ed a obrovsk\u00e9 charisma zanechalo v mnoha z n\u00e1s nesmazatelnou vzpom\u00ednku.
